COMPETITION
Waverly attends a variety of local and national horse shows throughout the year. Our program is designed to give riders the confidence and skills needed to perform in the show ring.

BOARDING
Waverly Farm is located at the beautiful Win-A-Gin Farm in Oxford, Michigan. Facilities include four riding arenas that host several rated shows per season, miles of trails, and spacious paddocks, providing the perfect environment for both training and recreation.

OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1972 by Timothy Wright, Waverly Farm has become a cornerstone of the equestrian community in Michigan. After years of training under Tim's expert guidance, Rachel Kotowicz now leads the farm, carrying forward the legacy of excellence that Tim established. Under Rachel's leadership, Waverly Farm remains dedicated to developing riders and horses with a strong foundation in safety, knowledge, and confidence.
OUR MISSION
At Waverly Farm, our mission is to develop well-rounded riders who excel both in competition and in their love for the sport. Our head trainer is passionate about guiding each rider through a journey of growth and success, building on the strong foundation established by her stepfather Tim, when he established Waverly.
RACHEL KOTOWICZ, PROFESSIONAL RIDER & TRAINER
Rachel Kotowicz began her equestrian journey under the mentorship of her stepfather Timothy Wright, training and competing alongside him in hunters, jumpers, and carriage driving. Since Tim's passing, Rachel has taken the helm of Waverly Farm, continuing his legacy with a deep commitment to excellence. As head trainer, Rachel is dedicated to helping riders and horses reach their full potential, fostering a supportive and challenging environment that encourages growth and achievement.
TIMOTHY WRIGHT, FOUNDER OF WAVERLY FARM
Timothy Wright began his professional equestrian career in Michigan in 1969, following a successful junior riding career in Northern California. Over the years, he trained horses and riders and competed in hunters, jumpers, and pleasure carriage driving at both National and International levels. In 1972, Tim founded Waverly Farm, named after the traditional Irish dance, The Waverly. His distinguished career earned him the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association. Timothy’s contributions to the sport left a lasting impact and helped shape its future direction.
